Tauawhitia – Towards a Sustainable Mode of Pedagogy and Support for Toi Ohomai International Students and Staff
'Tauawhitia' research project, was an opportunity for Toi Ohomai international students, and staff teaching these students, to provide authentic ‘localised’ voice on the issues that concern them and, in turn, to inform the development of processes, policies and practice/s at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology.
The study investigated and documented the stories of experiences of postgraduate international students in one Aotearoa New Zealand (ANZ) tertiary institute. In this report, the student narratives are presented alongside those of ten Toi Ohomai academics who taught international students.
