Health Centres (Te Whare Hauora)

We have three on-site health centres, one at each of; Mokoia Campus in Rotorua, and Tauranga's Bongard Centre and Windermere Campus.

Each offers free healthcare and advice. Stop in for a chat, and don't be shy - the nurses are very friendly and your visits are entirely confidential. If you're new to the area we can help you find a doctor that's affordable and easy to get to.

International Students

International Students are required to have medical insurance and this insurance pays the cost associated with most consultations and most prescriptions.

As of Monday 7th May 2018, Toi Ohomai International Students are expected to pay $65.00 before the time of the consultation with the doctor. It is the International Students responsibility to apply for reimbursement through their health insurance provider.

Te Whare Hauora – Health Centre is happy to explain the new process to International Students. Seeing the nurse is still free for all students at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology.
