Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is a subsidiary of Te Pūkenga - New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, and a limited liability company. Our Executive Leadership Team reports to the Board of Directors.

The Toi Ohomai story is the coming together of history and future. It’s a story of community, dedication to excellence in learning, and supporting the success of staff, students and stakeholders with passion and perseverance.

The Institute was born from a vision to meet the education and employment needs of the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato regions, while fostering innovation, being a sustainable organisation and supporting students beyond their qualifications by building strong relationships with industry and community decision makers.

Today, it’s one of the largest tertiary education providers in the regions, with more than 12,000 students who study across nearly 86 delivery sites at Rotorua, Taupō, Tauranga, Tokoroa and Whakatāne.

With more than 200 study options covering specialties in business, creative arts, engineering, forestry, health and nursing, hospitality, marine science, road transport, tourism, trades and more, Toi Ohomai offers something for everyone.
