Life on Campus at Toi Ohomai
We know that being a student is about more than studying and exams. Our graduates often tell us they’ve made lifelong friends during their time with us, and had some of the best experiences of their lives.
Fun Events and Competitions
Whether you’re sporty, into music, a foodie, or an animal lover we have events, competitions, and fun stuff on offer, all throughout the year. Our dedicated Student Experience team has exciting things in store for you!
And of course Orientation Week (O'Week) is not to be missed. It’s a great chance for you to socialise, have fun, and get into life on campus.
There are competitions and event photos being added to our social media accounts all the time so make sure you follow us!
We also have our own student radio station, SubFM. Stream it online at www.subfm.co.nz or tune in to 88.3FM or 107.7.
Health and Fitness
We have some of the region's best gym facilities on campus where you can enjoy classes, sports, and fitness services at great student rates.
Food and Shops
When it's time for a break there's a great range of food and coffee available at our campus cafes and conveniently located on campus are automotive workshops so you can get your car fixed while you sit in class, and hair and beauty salons so you can look and feel your best.
While you're an enrolled student you'll also enjoy access to some great student discounts.
You can get cash out at these ATMs on or near campus:
- Bongard Campus: the closest ATM is on the corner of Elizabeth and Cameron Streets
- Mokoia Campus: on the right of N Block’s main doors (level 2)
- Windermere Campus:at the bottom of Ako Atea’s exterior staircase (head for the fountain)
We have some fabulous childcare options on offer, so you can settle in to study, safe in the knowledge that your little ones are being well looked after and having a heap of fun.
