Get Help with English
All our classes are taught in English. To have the best chance of success in your studies you'll need to have a good understanding of the language.
If English isn't your first language you might need to provide evidence of English language proficiency before being accepted. This is usually in the form of an IELTS, TOEFL or PTE (Academic). Scores can vary according to the qualification you’re wanting to study.
Have a look at the English Language entry requirements for International students at the NZQA website. This includes the criteria for existing English proficiency:
- Previous primary and secondary study in English
- Previous tertiary study in English
- Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)
- New Zealand Certificate in English Language (NZCEL)
If you don't meet the standards you'll need to sit an English language test as approved by NZQA.
If you would like to sit the IELTS Test in Rotorua, please contact [email protected]
