About this Scholarship

The Toi Ohomai Tahua Tautāwhi (Share 2 Care Single Parent) Scholarship will support single parents and provide stability for their child/children/tamariki as they begin their diploma or degree qualification.

Applicants will need to reside within the Toi Ohomai rohe (Bay of Plenty and South Waikato) and evidence of how receiving this scholarship will support them to achieve their diploma or degree.

This award is for applicants who are single parents about to begin their first year, full time of study at diploma or degree level at Toi Ohomai.

Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate they have:
  • evidence of good academic progress in the qualification so far
  • the ability to meet the academic demands of the course they have chosen
  • residing in the Bay of Plenty or South Waikato region

  • your family, study and career goals
  • how the diploma/degree will assist you to meet these goals
  • how the financial assistance will support you to successfully complete the first year of study
Applicants who do not supply this information will not be considered by the selection panel. Additional information which may help the selection panel with their decision may also be provided.
