Course Overview
Gain interior and exterior joinery skills.
Prepare yourself for the construction and joinery industry with this dynamic course, which will help you develop skills in interior and exterior joinery and allied trades. Learning in a supportive environment, our experienced tutors will guide you through various projects and how to correctly use power tools, and fixed machinery.
On completion of this 120 credit course, students will be work ready, will have obtained essential joinery and allied trade skills and gain essential skills for entering the industry as a work-ready graduate.
Upon successfully completing the requirements you'll receive the award of:
- New Zealand Certificate in Construction Trades Skills (Level 3), Joinery/Allied Trade Strand

Course Entry Information
Entry criteria
Open entry if the delegated authority at the campus/site is satisfied that the applicant has the capability to complete the requirements of the course.
Standard Entry Criteria
Admission, entry, selection, and enrolment into programmes will be in accordance with the Academic Regulations and/or, where approved, specific programme regulations.
For courses at levels 1-3, domestic and international students will be required to:

You must be physically capable of meeting the course requirements.
English language requirements
Level 3 certificate IELTS General or Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5 or completed New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 3 with an endorsement of either General, Workplace or Academic, or meets a relevant English Proficiency Outcome as outlined by NZQA.
