Course Overview

Build on your prior learning in the field of business, health, hospitality, or information technology. This course will develop your research, problem solving and management skills relevant to these business environments. It also teaches you how to sharpen your leadership skills and set yourself on the management pathway.

Using a mix of theoretical study and highly applied work-based learning, you'll get inside local business to analyse challenges and look for solutions.

For this course of study you must endorse your qualification with a specialisation in business, health or hospitality.

This qualification leads onto Postgraduate Diploma and Masters study.

Upon successfully completing the requirements you'll receive the award of:

Course Entry Information

Entry criteria

There are four pathways to admission to this course:

  • an undergraduate degree with honours, or a postgraduate certificate
  • a graduate diploma in business, management, or with a business or management endorsement, or equivalent
  • an undergraduate degree in business, management, or with a business or management endorsement or equivalent
  • special admission.  If you do not meet the academic requirements you may be given special admission if Toi Ohomai staff are satisfied you are capable of successfully completing the requirements.

Standard Entry Criteria

Admission, entry, selection, and enrolment into programmes will be in accordance with the Academic Regulations and/or, where approved, specific programme regulations.

English language requirements

IELTS Academic score of 6.5 with no band score lower than 6 or completed New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 5 with the Academic Endorsement or meets a relevant English Proficiency Outcome as outlined by NZQA.
