Toi Ohomai Hosts Charity House Roof Shout for Industry Partners
Friday, 05 Jul 2019
Toi Ohomai hosted a celebration of our carpentry students successfully completing the roofing stage of our latest Charity House, which is being built at our Mokoia Campus at Rotorua.
The house build is part of our 2019 Charity House Project, which sees us partner with the Rotorua Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Rotorua Sunrise Charitable Trust and the Rotorua Lakes Council to help students gain hands-on experience, as well as make a contribution to the community.
We invited students, partners and stakeholders to join us for this milestone celebration, which included a presentation by Faculty Leader of Trades, Transport and Logistics at Toi Ohomai Brian Dillon to show progress on the project. The presentation was followed by a delicious light lunch and networking.
Congratulations to our students who have done so well on this project, and a special thank you to stakeholders who attended.
