Have you got electrical qualifications from overseas and want to apply for New Zealand registration with the Electrical Workers Registration Board? This short course is the answer.
A full-time block course held over five days; attendance is vital for anyone with overseas electrical qualifications who needs EWRB registration to work in New Zealand. With two course dates to choose from, our tutors ensure participants meet all three stages of the practical skills requirements for New Zealand registration.

Course Entry Information
Entry criteria
- Prior knowledge and experience in the electrical industry
Standard Entry Criteria
Admission, entry, selection, and enrolment into programmes will be in accordance with the Academic Regulations and/or, where approved, specific programme regulations.
Other Considerations
You'll be required to present a copy of your current First Aid Certificate. The certificate will need to be from a one day practical first aid equivalent to unit standards 6401/6402 or 26551/26552.
Please contact Red Cross or St John's to book a first aid training session if you don't have a current First Aid Certificate.
* To confirm what stage of practical skills you need, you'll need to apply to the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB). They will then give you a confirmation letter detailing your individual registration and practical skills stage requirements.
English language requirements
Level 4 certificate IELTS General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5 or completed New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 3 with an endorsement of either General, Workplace or Academic, or meets a relevant English Proficiency Outcome as outlined by NZQA.
