Ōhiwa Harbour Recreation Research

Heather Hamerton completed this Bay of Plenty Regional Council commissioned research project to gather information about recreational usage patterns around Ōhiwa Harbour during summer 2014.

This research met one of the monitoring requirements of the Ōhiwa Harbour Strategy, which was to regularly assess recreational usage.

Findings from this research were presented to the Ōhiwa Harbour Implementation Forum in Whakatane in March 2014 and a full report on the project was provided for Bay of Plenty Regional Council.
