Does the Additional Use of Bird Excluders Alter the Effectiveness of Good Nature A24 Self-Resetting Traps?

The introduction of self-resetting traps such as the Goodnature A24 rat trap, have helped overcome many of the constraints of traditional trapping.

However, in native forests where rats can find various food sources relatively easily, attracting rats to traps can be difficult.

The use of an additional lure applied adjacent to each A24 trap could increase rat interactions with traps.

This research aimed to determine whether an additional lure leads to increased rat interactions with the trap, and if there is an increase in the kills to interaction ratio following the use of an additional lure.
