Anne-Marie is a tutor for the Bachelor of Creative Industries and the Certificate in Art and Design courses at Toi Ohomai.

After graduating with a Diploma in Clothing and Textiles from Wellington Polytechnic and a Bachelor of Art and Design (Fashion) from Otago Polytechnic, Anne-Marie knew she'd wanted to share her knowledge with others so she decided to continue her learning journey and completed a Master of Educational Leadership at the University of Waikato.

She's spent 20 years in the fashion industry, honing her skills and experience in patternmaking, production and construction, and loves experimenting with new techniques and creating art pieces utilising machine and thread.

She also has a keen interest in embroidery and has exhibited some of her free form embroidery pieces at exhibitions throughout the country.

In 2019, Anne-Marie was honoured to be named a finalist in the coveted Tauranga Art Gallery Miles Art Awards. She's featured in the Springer Online Journal, Encyclopaedia of Teacher Education 2019 and has contributed to the EDULEARN20 International Education Conference 2020 publication.

When she's not teaching, Anne-Marie likes to unwind and refocus by spending time outdoors, fishing or cycling.
