Toi Ohomai Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice Scholarship
Toi Ohomai offers one scholarship per annum to a domestic student who has enrolled onto the Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice (Level 7) course. The student must be a voluntary or paid worker for a not-for-profit organisation which deals with immigration matters and must meet all the other eligibility criteria for this scholarship.
Eligibility
Applicants must provide:
- proof of NZ citizenship or permanent residency
- proof of acceptance as a full-time or part-time student onto the 2025 Toi Ohomai Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice (Level 7) course
- career goals, including an intention to continue to work in the not-for-profit sector
- an indication of personal financial circumstances which show how this scholarship will assist the applicant
- proof of employment or voluntary work for a not-for-profit organisation (This will typically be a letter signed by an official, on the letterhead of the organisation the applicant works or volunteers for, dated within the last month, confirming the applicant’s role and responsibilities within the organisation, and confirming that the applicant intends to provide immigration advice to further support the organisation once the applicant is licensed.)
Selection Panel
All applications will be considered by a panel comprising of Toi Ohomai Immigration programme representatives, as well as the Registrar of the New Zealand Immigration Advisers Authority (IAA).
Value
This scholarship will cover the recipient’s course fees to complete the Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice (Level 7) course - a total of eight papers.
