Toi Ohomai Howie Hinton Memorial Scholarship

Howie Hinton was a dedicated and inspirational tutor of our sport and recreation courses back when Toi Ohomai was known as Bay of Plenty Polytechnic. This scholarship is offered by the Hinton family in Howie's memory.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology Tauranga Campus Bachelor in Sport and Recreation students who are in their first year of study and will be enrolling in the second year.

Open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.

Criteria

The successful applicant will need to provide evidence of a high level of commitment to their sport and recreation studies.

The financial needs of the applicant will also be a factor in deciding the recipient of the scholarship.

Value

$1,500

Assists with second year course fees.
