Faculty of Business, Design and Service Industries

I’m an Academic Leader of Arts in the Business, Design and Service Industries faculty at Toi Ohomai.

I’ve been a practising artist for the past 25 years and have taught tertiary art and design for over 20 years. I love the way my career enables me to be active in the industry while contributing to the education of tomorrow’s great creatives.

After completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), I went on to obtain my Master in Fine Arts with first class honours from the Elam School of Fine Arts at the University of Auckland.

I then went on to teach at the Elam School of Fine Arts, AUT, Eastern Institute of Technology, and Hungry Creek Art and Craft School before eventually joining the Toi Ohomai team.

I’m a practising artist and master printmaker specialising in fine arts screen printing. Most of my work is held in public and private collections around New Zealand and my art work is currently represented by Muse Art Gallery in Havelock North.

In 2015, I won the Supreme Award at the New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Awards, and I was invited to participate in the Tr6 Manhattan Printmaking Residency in New York in 2018.
