You’ll learn about the origin, structure and geophysics of the Earth. You'll also get an insight into the formation and classification of New Zealand rocks, minerals and soils.

Contents may include:

• Explain and interpret the origin and structure of the Earth and the processes that modify its surface.
• Explain the formation and classification of common New Zealand minerals and rocks.
• Analyse the consequences for human populations of dynamic geological processes.
