Successful small businesses are as complex and individual as a large corporate. There's no one size fits all and to be successful you need to cover off all the bases – from business planning to staff management.
If you're currently working in a small business or looking for an opportunity to establish and grow your own small business, this course will provide you with the knowledge and confidence to participate and manage effectively in this sector.
This course is delivered fully online via eCampus NZ.

Course Entry Information
Entry criteria
- NCEA (Level 2), or
- NZ Certificate in Business (Introduction to Small Business) (Level 3), or
- NZ Certificate in Retail (Level 3), or
- NZ Certificate in Business (Administration and Technology) (Level 3), or
- NZ Certificate in Foundation Studies (Level 2), or
- A qualification at Level 2 or above, with evidence of literacy and numeracy abilities equivalent to NCEA (Level 1), or
- Evidence of relevant knowledge and experience, including literacy and numeracy abilities equivalent to NCEA (Level 2)
Standard Entry Criteria
Admission, entry, selection, and enrolment into programmes will be in accordance with the Academic Regulations and/or, where approved, specific programme regulations.
English language requirements
Level 4 certificate IELTS General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5 or completed New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 3 with an endorsement of either General, Workplace or Academic, or meets a relevant English Proficiency Outcome as outlined by NZQA.
