Library and Study Support

Just about everybody who undertakes tertiary study needs some help along the way - things like how to plan your schedule, how to get the online systems working for you, right down to how to reference your work.

Our friendly Learning Support teams are here to help and you’ll find a huge range of resources at the Toi Ohomai libraries too. These are all free and available to current students and staff.

    Library and Learning Spaces

The Toi Ohomai libraries have a relaxed and friendly feel. You’re welcome to eat, drink and socialise in our libraries, and there are cafes on site or nearby.

The libraries have a number of study rooms and spaces where you can settle in and concentrate on your work.

We have a wide range of resources to help you with your studies and our librarians can help you make the most of them. As a student you have free access to all of the library collections including physical and digital resources.

Computers and laptops are available for you to use and the team can help you set up your own devices too. You’ll have free access to the wi-fi network while you’re on campus.

We have a range of learning and social spaces including meeting rooms and group study rooms. We also have quiet spaces for those times when you need to concentrate or reflect.

If you’re a Toi Ohomai student studying off-site or online we can send library resources out to you free of charge within New Zealand. Please request these by contacting one of our libraries.

We are also able to request books and articles from other New Zealand libraries for you. Please use our Interloan Request form to let us know what you need. Please note that, depending on where we are sourcing the item from, there may be a charge for this service.

Students and staff from University of Waikato have free access to the physical collections at Tauranga campuses, and use the University library for digital resources.
